Terri's Testimony

Terri's life has been a journey from rejection to rejoicing. Growing up in
11 different homes, she felt alone, depressed, and unloved. She
suffered physical, emotional, and sexual abuse as a child. Searching for
salvation, she turned to men, desperately trying to earn love; pretending
she didn't care as time after time she was dumped, used, and rejected.
Terri tried everything to numb the pain. She was addicted to alcohol at
age 15 and was shooting up cocaine by the time she was 19. For years,
drugs would control her life, as she tried everything from marijuanna to
LSD. After facing death from a drug overdose, Terri tried to pull her life
back together. She began college, but could not escape alcohol and
depression. She was labeled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,
Borderline Personality Disorder, and severe depression. Bound in fear,
Terri could barely function on her own; at times she would even barricade
herself in her home, to frightened to even look out the windows. She
thought her life was hopeless.
In 1992, Terri visited a church and received Jesus as her Savior. For the
first time, Terri's life had hope. God delivered her from alcoholism. She
and Jody were married, and they had 2 beautiful children. Her life was
still a struggle; dealing with her depression and Jody's addiction, but
God gave her strength to survive. In 1998, Terri would face the greatest
challenge of her life - the death of her 2 year old son. In desperation,
Terri held onto God with everything she had.
God answered her cries. He began to change her; she learned to hear
His voice, and gave him authority in her life. He became her comforter,
healed her mental illness, and began to free her of fear. For 5 years,
Terri would focus on spiritual maturity. It was at this time that God called
her into ministry. She became an intercessor and a servant. God has
used Terri to speak prophetically and He has used her hands to bring
healing to others. God has called her into prophetic evangelism and
deliverance. Terri received her education through the Assemblies of
God Urban Bible Training Center in Tampa, Florida.
She graduated valedictorian and formed Aiming High Ministries with her
husband. She was Ordained at the Warfare Academy by Paul & Claire
Hollis, and later transferred her Ordination to Hiding Place Ministries
where her husband, Jody had received his Ordination. Struggling with
weight issues all her life, Terri formed Satisfied! to confront the problem
with a Biblical foundation. She began a support group to help herself
and others. As Terri pursued God's desire for her life, she became
burdened with the huge number of Christians still living in bondage. She
became determined to take her testimony of freedom to the churches as
well as the streets. Now, together with her husband, they challenge
people to aim higher, throw off the victim mentality, and arise
VICTORIOUS! God desires for His church to walk in abundance, power,
and freedom. It's time to arise!
